Wednesday Morning Inspiration: April 6, 2011

I haven't done a Wednesday Morning Inspiration in a long while. I have no excuse, except for being lazy and not being in the word as often as I should be.

I started this yesterday, Wednesday, but forgot about it, so I know it's Thursday and not Wednesday, but hey, this is my blog and I can do what I want, right?

Anyway, this is one of my current favorite songs. Love it. Please listen to it.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

14For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died;

15and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.

What are you relying on to enter heaven? Do you think that if you are generally a good person, then you will be allowed in? Do you think that your salvation has to do with the good works that you do while you are here on the earth?

If this is what you think, then you need to read God's word, the bible and realize that it is Christ's death, burial and resurrection that saves us from an eternity in hell. Christ has done the work, you just need to trust and believe in Christ.

Isaiah 49:16 "Behold, I have carved you on the palms of my hands."

Wow, what a truth to contemplate!

Matthew 9:35-38

35
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

If you are a Christian, chances are that you have heard this passage before.
Each day that passes is one less day to share the love of God.
Will you share today?

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

They are fantastic if viewed full screen.

At least I think so...

Moon Rise Over Open A Bar 2 Ranch

The other night Dan the Man and I took a walk down on the creek to check on the cattle that we have grazing down there. It is so pretty and peaceful down in the small ravine where the creek flows. It is my favorite place on our property.

Dan the Man and his Country Chicken Girl

Although we spend the majority of our time together working, we often forget to spend quality time together just enjoying the company of one another. When we take walks together, go on purposeless drives through the country or enjoy a meal alone at a restaurant, it helps me to see the man that I married who is not only my husband but my best friend, my soulmate, my partner and my lover.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails.

Ephesians 4:26-27

26"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold.

Proverbs 3:1-10

1My son, do not forget my teaching,
But let your heart keep my commandments;

2For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you.

3Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.

4So you will find favor and good repute
In the sight of God and man.

5Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.

6In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

7Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

8It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.

9Honor the LORD from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;

10So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.
