Happy Resurrection Day!

With all silliness (referring to my Happy Easter picture) aside, I want to wish you all a blessed RESURRECTION DAY!!

Easter is such an important time for us as Christians, in fact, it is vital to our faith. Without Christ's death, burial and resurrection, where would we be. We would be hopelessly lost sinners, lost for an eternity!

But because Christ died on the cross for our sins and overcame death and sin by rising from the tomb and ascending into Heaven we can have eternal life with our Heavenly Father and Almighty Lord.

Can you imagine being there and bearing witness to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ?

Mark 15:
33At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

35When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah."

36One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said.

37With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

38The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"

What about when the women who went back to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body? Can you imagine their reaction!

Luke 24
1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8Then they remembered his words.

"He is not here; he has risen!" WOW!!!!!

Please enjoy this video. I LOVE this song!

Happy Resurrection Day!!!
